Immunizations
Whether you need preventative immunization such as an annual Flu shot or a Tetanus shot after a puncture or laceration, our expert Dulles Urgent Care staff is here to administer each as pain-free and quickly as possible. We stock the following immunizations for walk-in treatment:
Flu Shots (in season)
Our expert staff routinely administers flu vaccinations, or shots, annually as a preventative against the influenza virus. The Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) recommends annual influenza vaccination for everyone 6 months and older with that season’s flu formula. The shot cause antibodies to develop in the body about two weeks after vaccination. We offer these shots on a walk-in basis, no prescription required.
TB skin test
Dulles Urgent Care’s doctors can perform a tuberculin skin test to see if you have ever been exposed to tuberculosis (TB). It’s an easy test performed by putting a small amount of TB protein under the top layer of skin on your inner forearm. We offer these tests on a walk-in basis, no prescription required.
Tetanus (no TDAP)
Tetanus vaccine, also known as tetanus toxoid, is a vaccine widely used to prevent tetanus. Most people received 5 initial shots during childhood and booster doses are recommended every ten years or after traumatic injuries where the skin has been broken. We offer Tetanus shots on a walk-in basis, no prescription required.
